Use a Computer

The library has public computers with Internet access. This describes what we have and how to use them.
  • The Dike Public Library has 4 computers available for public use.
  • Patrons must check-in at the desk in order to use the computer. Usage is on a first-come, first -serve basis. Priority will be given to those patrons needing computers for school and/or professional purposes.
  • Patrons may use the computer for a maximum of one hour per day. Special arrangements may be made with the library staff if patrons need to use the computer for longer.
  • Children, not yet in school, must show the librarian they have working knowledge of how to use the computer properly before they can use it by themselves.
  • No more than 1 person may be at the computer at one time; the exception is a parent/guardian with own child.
  • PRINTING: There is a $.10 per page printing charge for black and white copy. Patrons will be charged $.25 for color copy.
  • Electronic mail is permitted.
