Meet the Library Director

Meet Rebecca Berg, Library Director

DPLDirector

Becky is a life-long resident of Iowa. She earned her undergraduate degree in Family Services and Consumer Sciences from Iowa State University and her Masters in Library and Information Science degree from the University of Iowa.  She enjoys reading - particularly historical nonfiction - gardening, traveling and writing.  She lives in Cedar Falls with her husband and is the proud mother of two fabulous grown daughters, an equally fabulous son-in-law and a new granddaughter with whom she is absolutely smitten.  Her favorite books are "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" and "A Prayer for Owen Meany".

Becky said, "Dike Public Library is an awesome place to work.  This community is welcoming, vibrant, always evolving and growing. I can't describe the support I get from the community.  Priceless!  I've been director since 2011 and its been such fun to watch all the changes and to be part of a community that values everything small-town life offers up in a big-town way."
