Summer Reading Program 2018

 Registration begins Wednesday, April 11th.  Pick up a registration folder at the service desk or register online (one form per child).

 April 11                  Open House 1:30 – 4:00 

Stop by the library to register and view the many displays set up to showcase book series from the library’s collection.  Book marks for each series will include AR levels and titles in each series.  Enjoy old favorites and discover new ones to read this summer!

 Enjoy refreshments while you work on crafts and have a"rocking day” coloring fantastic pages and games!  Everyone takes home a free book of their choice!

June 4th – 6th            All activities have been cancelled for Week One due to the extended schoolyear.  Please stop by the library during Week One to register if you haven't already, pick up books to read for Week Two.  

 

June 11 – 13        Week One

  • Turn in Reading Log
  • Guess the Song
  • Guess # of items in container
  • Craft
  • Get new books for Week Three

June 13           Desi Payne  10:00

 June 19 – 21            Week Two

  • Turn in Reading Log
  • Guess the Song
  • Guess # of items in container
  • Craft
  • Get new books for Week Four

June 20           Science Center of Iowa  10:00   Global Soundscape Program 

June 25 – 27            Week Three

  • Turn in Reading Log
  • Guess the Song
  • Guess # of items in container
  • Craft

June 27     Blank Park Zoo  10:00          Everyone who completed their contract is awarded a yard sign
